No Child Left Behind

Image
In 2002, President Bush signed the bipartisan No Child Left Behind Act also known as (NCLB).      On January 8, 2002, the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act of 2001 was passed by Congress. This federal law contains the most sweeping changes to the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) since it was enacted in 1965. NCLB also has made the federal role in education more prominent than ever.      The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) replaces No Child Left Behind (NCLB). Instead of a universal accountability system for all states,  ESSA gave states the flexibility to develop accountability systems that best measure student success in their respective states .      Criticisms of No Child Left Behind   faced many criticisms after its implementation . Repeated Nonsense

A parent told someone the kid getting the lap dance is a 10th grader.  Forsyth Technical Community College hosted a Pride Festival on March 22, that boasted drag shows, contraceptives, and lured students in with free food and drinks.  The festival was produced by Forsyth Tech’s Pride Club and was joined by organizations like Prevent Ongoing Spread of STIs Everywhere (POSSE), a program of the  Forsyth County Health Department . Ironically, various churches and ministers were invited to this event.

Cameras In Classrooms

Image
Why should cameras be in classrooms?        School surveillance cameras can be utilized to mitigate threats of all kinds , whether they be internal or external to the campus: School shootings. Student bullying and violence. Mistreatment of students by teachers and others.   Are classrooms allowed to have cameras?       It is a gray area as to what that means, but generally, common sense prevails. For instance, cameras are not allowed in restrooms or changing areas. In contrast, since there is no reasonable expectation of privacy in a classroom and hallways shared with students, there is no general legal prohibition on cameras there .   What are the cons of having cameras in classrooms? The Drawbacks of School Security Cameras (Cons) Legality and privacy concerns. Those against video surveillance in schools consider the use of security cameras to be an invasion of privacy.  Cost of school security cameras and s...
