Structure Fire leaves home destroyed
Jackson Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at 21 Brenda Lane in South Jackson in the early hours of Monday, Feb. 6, 2023 arriving on the scene at approximately 2:30 a.m. & found the structure fully involved. Read More @ Jackson Sun Make A Donation Gertrude Thomas, escaped the structure and according to her sister Marie Samuels, Gertrude had attempted to reach a firefighter who lived down the street from the Thomas home. “He said it was too late by the time he got to the home, & couldn’t even get in the home,” Samuels said. Gertrude suffered minor burns to her leg and the couple’s car was also incinerated as a result of the fire.
