      I know times are hard and getting harder! Did you know, that just a few dollars like $5 helps? Stop and think! $5 per person times 100 people equals $500. Do you stop and give to someone on the roadway asking for help?

    There is a lot of difference! Handing money to someone on the roadway, you never know what they will do with it. HERE, I'm in control, and I verify that the person "really needs the help" before it's provided.

    Don't get me wrong! I'm helping, however, I don't just hand the money over so they can do what ever with it.

    Because every contribution helps to make an impact on Disasters, Medical, Clothing and Other Necessities due to unforeseen factors with no place to go, family or money to help them afterwards.

    That is how I help them. The money is paid directly to the provider for the aforementioned to ensure they get help, not what ever.

    Did you know that US Fire Departments responded to an estimated of 350,000 home structure fires per year?

    That these fires caused an annual average of 2,708 civilian deaths with 11,320 civilian fire injuries and $7 billion in direct property damage.

    On average, there is over 6 million passenger car accidents in the U.S. every year. Road crashes are the leading cause of death in this country that result in more than 38,000 people losing their lives each year.

HOMELESS or INDIGENT

    Tens of thousands more people in the U.S. were homeless in 2023 compared with 2022 because of the high costs of living pushed some of the most vulnerable Americans into shelters and the streets.

   Homelessness rate shot up by more than 12%  in 2023 year, reaching 653,000 plus people.

    The #1 weather related killer in the US is "Extreme Heat" followed that Tornadoes happen anywhere that the weather conditions create the right environment for them, that is, 75% of all tornadoes happen in the United States.

98% of all Presidential declared disasters are weather related, leading to approximately 500 deaths per year and nearly $15 billion in damage.

Nowhere to Go:
Homelessness among formerly incarcerated people

    Your contributions helps returning inmates with their first month rent, food, clothes & Medical after release. Some have no place to go, family or money to help them when they're released.

    "Anytime we (you) can reduce homelessness inmates coming out of the prison system, that is good for us (you) and the community, and it’s good for public.”

    A big part of the improvement is to revamped relationship with family & friends to help Keep the offender from returning to old lifestyle.

    Partnership that better helps connect returning inmates at a higher risk of being homeless with public assistance for additional help.

     Over 10,000 prisoners are released from America’s state and federal prisons every week and arrive on the doorsteps of our nation's communities.

    More than 650,000 offenders are released from prison every year, and studies show that approximately two-thirds (approximately 433, 300) will likely be rearrested within three years of release.

    The high volume of returnees is a reflection on the tremendous growth in the U.S. prison population during the past 30 years. For the communities to which most former prisoners return which are often impoverished and disenfranchised neighborhoods with few social supports and persistently high crime rates, the release of offenders represents a variety of challenges.

    Halfway houses are a major feature of the criminal justice system, but very little data is ever published about them.

     It shouldn’t take exhaustive investigative reporting to unearth the real cases in a halfway house. however & historically, very little data about halfway houses has been available to the public.

    Even though they are a major feature of the carceral system and even basic statistics, such as the number of halfway houses in the country or the number of people living in them, are difficult to impossible to find.

Broadly speaking;

    There are two reasons for this obscurity:
       1st. Halfway houses are mostly privately operated and don’t report data the way public facilities are required to;
       2nd. The term “halfway house” is widely used to refer to vastly different types of facilities.

    So, we compiled the little information that does exist about halfway houses, explaining how various facilities commonly called “halfway houses” differ from each other, and the ways in which these criminal justice facilities often fail to meaningfully support formerly incarcerated people.

    We also explore why poor conditions and inadequate oversight in halfway houses have made them hot spots for mistreatment of residents residing there by other residents or by staff.
