     We have someone here who is trapping and is suspected of killing 3 Peoples pet Cats in the past 3 plus months. Our Pets has disappeared and have not be found.

     In Tennessee, abuse or neglect of an animal constitutes "cruelty to animals." "Cruelty to animals" is a Class A misdemeanor crime, punishable by up to 11 months, 29 days in jail and/or a fine of up to $2,500.

     Aggravated cruelty to animals Definitions Construction Penalty. (a) A person commits aggravated cruelty to animals when, with aggravated cruelty and with no justifiable purpose, the person intentionally kills or intentionally causes serious physical injury to a companion animal.

(g)(1) Cruelty to animals is a Class A misdemeanor.
(2) A second or subsequent conviction for cruelty to animals is a Class E felony.
(3) Violation of any prohibition or restriction imposed by the sentencing court pursuant to subsection (e) is a Class A misdemeanor.

     Companion animals are those animals who share our homes and lives. Because we consider these animals to be family, because they are family, companion animals enjoy more legal protections than other animals.

UPDATE: 8/15/2022

    I've been told that a Cat has come up injured. The cat is now out of the Hospital and with a friend. We are awaiting for the toxicology report and vet findings. This precious cat was either "Severally Kicked or Poisoned" by the person we are looking for.
