  1. Jesus shows the ruler that he does not know himself. He reveals that he is comparing himself with others but not comparing himself with God. The ten commandments only reveal that we all fall short of God’s righteousness.    2. The man did not understand who Jesus the Eternal King of Kings is, so man was not willing to sell all he had and followed Jesus. Not everyone loves God with all your heart in this life and has ever loved their neighbors as themselves. These two sins multiplied throughout a life would amount to thousand sins and no one can get into heaven without Jesus. When we trust God, it brings divine peace. God loves His Children (Us.)     This happens when we give our lives to God through Jesus our Lord and King of eternity. Jesus tells us that He is the way the truth and the life, and that no human comes to the Father except through Him.
